Iris Compass Blades - Super Thin (0.08mm) - improved minimal aperture 1mm

Blades have a thinner edge on one side to help closing the iris down to 1mm

The blade's mounting points have been adjusted to make it an easier fit on the inner ring and the peg on the aperture blade features a longer flared design to help stick out on the outer ring.
 

To aid in stability the pegs are secured with custom washers. The top plate has been reworked to have the slots punch through completely to allow for easier assembly and allow the use of retainer washers

Note that the STL for the Outer ring does look like it doesn't contain holes, this however is due to that the model has 0 thickness there, the slicer will treat it as holes.

Printing instruction for the blade: the “initial layer” needs to be set to 0.08mm and overal layer height 0.08mm.
Concentric bottom/top/infill recommended to reinforce the strenth along the length of the blade!

Printed in PETG for added layer adhesion vs PLA.

Assembly instructions:

- Assemble blades in a clockwise fashion with great care.
- its possible to use tweezers/pliers to push the bladedown over the mounting peg
Recommended to print extra blades and discard a blade if it becomes creased during assembly.
- run finger around the rim of the aperture to gently push the installed blades towards their fully-opened position
- use tweezers to move and organize the blades so they are equally spaced
- place outer ring over the assembly, align all the pegs so they are poking through
- press down the outer ring to lock it in place
- push the washers over the pegs, works well by pushing against the slot's inner stop

Slight amount of lubricant will help in operation as well.
