I have a big mug and needed an oversize coaster. I decided to make my Stargate model into one.

I have a big mug and needed an oversize coaster. I've been modeling the Stargate ring off and on for other purposes. (Like making a brake light for 2" hitch) Anyway, I figured this would work for a coaster with a 127mm (5") internal diameter.
I made this in three parts. The ring (Gray PETG), the "event horizon" (translucent blue PETG), and a back. (White PETG) There are alignment keys on the pieces, but make sure chevron 1 is on the top and aligns with circle of the earth symbol. I screwed it together with (4) m3 x 8mm countersunk screws.
There is a lot of detail so I printed with .1mm layer height.
