An Axis alloy mast is an ideal platform for creating an efoil or foil assist. The mast has good internal space in the centre of the extrusion for cables. The problem has always been how to cleanly and safely route the cables from inside the mast to the board. This plate and clamp provides a protected space for the cables and can be fixed to the base of the mast.

Four M5 countersunk head screws may be used to attach the plate to the underside of the mast base after removing the rubber sheet on the bottom of the Axis mast base. A very slight countersink of the four existing holes in the mast base allow the screws to sit flush.

The cable clamp is fixed to the acetal plate with six M4 x 12 countersunk head screws, this allows good clamping force on the cable.

The clamp may be modified to accept different diameter cable or even to accept three individual phase cables. I have included a step file to make it easier to modify to your requirements.

I decided to have the main plate machined from POM (acetal or delrin) a super tough engineering plastic that can be readily machined and may easily be tapped. The loads that this plate can experience with a heavy rider and a large foils are huge, it could be 3D printed but for longevity and certainly I decided machining from acetal was preferable.

The clamp can be safely 3D printed, I printed mine with PCTG.
