I did not have the right bolts on hand to use Ascardia's method, but I did have an abundance of M3 bolts and nuts. This is designed to bolt onto Ascardia's option 2 version. I have used Ascardia's version multiple times in the past, but having run out of the right sized M2.5 bolts to use with the Dell plate, I needed something different to connect the dock.

I found by accident that Ascardia's plate only version lines up perfectly (after expanding the holes) with the mounting holes on the SD25TB4 dock. They take a M4 bolts though, which is why the holes needed to be expanded. I included a modified version here as well. I haven't printed it yet, but I intend to soon.

BOM:

  • WD22 Sleeve

    • 4 x M3 hexagonal nuts

    • 4 x M3*10 bolts

      • Adjust for whatever you bolt this onto. The back wall of the design is 6mm.

      • Using too long of bolts could damage the dock, so be mindful of the length.

  • SD25TB4

    • 2 x M4*15 bolts

  • Clamping version

    • 2 x M3*30 bolts

    • 2 x M3 hexagonal nuts

This first design is not optimized to be printed without supports, and I only printed one so far, but these are the settings I used to allow it to be functional, but not pretty. I will bring future versions that fix certain issues I found, such as the fact that I forgot to put a hole for the power button, but a few quick snips of the hive structure surrounding it fixed that.

The V2 design has larger hive cutouts, a power button cutout, and some modifications to the bridges to reduce the need for supports.

  • Ultimaker Cura Slicer

    • 15% infill

    • Tree supports

    • Support Overhang Angle: 65

    • 0.3 mm layer height

Also, shout out to @RadekSmrz_1456103 for a similar design. I completed my first design before I noticed their remix as well, which was basically the same idea, but with the sleeve connected to the mount.
