Simply fill the tubes with water, place the whole holder in your freezer and let them freeze solid.
Once frozen, remove an ice tube and pop it into your glass. Add your straw through the centre of the tube and you've got a ready-made ice-cold drinking system!
As the ice slowly melts, it keeps the drink chilled while the straw remains positioned through the centre.
Why TPU?
I recommend printing the tubes in TPU. The flexibility makes the frozen ice tubes much easier to remove from the holder and gives the finished print a bit of useful flexibility.
TPU also makes this a great candidate for a durable, reusable kitchen gadget rather than another single-use plastic solution.
