🔧 Repairing Klickfix Kompakt Rail bike pannier mounts

When a bike pannier mount breaks, you quickly discover just how difficult—or even impossible—it is to find a replacement part. Manufacturers sell the complete assembly, never just the small clip or hook that failed.

For the user, it’s incredibly frustrating: you know the part is simple and could be replaced in minutes... yet it isn't available on the market.

That’s where 3D modeling and printing become real superpowers

✅ Measure the broken part

✅ Model it using software like Fusion or FreeCAD

✅ Or grab a ready-made model from a sharing platform

✅ Then print the part on your 3D printer

That’s exactly what I did for this broken hook. Within a few hours, I had a perfectly functional mount that seems sturdier than the original. I printed it in PETG so it would have a bit of flexibility while remaining durable outdoors. It could likely be made from ABS or even ASA for potentially greater strength—time will tell.

Model fits for Elops bag from Decathlon but definitely also other bike bag systems from Klickfix.

This way, I avoided throwing away an entire pannier just because of a single broken piece of plastic. It embodies the spirit of modern DIY: repairing, improving, and extending the lifespan of your gear.
