Some U1 hoods do not fully seat onto the four flexible mounting points on the top of the printer. This adapter bridges the gap and allows the hood to fully seat to the printer.
It is a two material print - the top is TPU so it goes up into the lid and stays there when you remove the lid - the bottom is PETG and slips into the circular mounting point on the top of the printer - bridging the gap.
The first photo shows the adapter in place: printed blackTPU over black PETG. The second photo shows what the typical gap looks like (sometimes wider). The third and fourth photo show the part printed in two colors so you can see the details. The yellow TPU part goes up into the tube(s) on the 4 corners of the bottom of the lid like a plug on the bottom corners of the lid. The fourth photo shows how the bottom is shaped to go into the round mounting point on the top of the printer.
Use supports (PETG)
Use interlocking for the PETG and TPU.
For the final version, I used Snapmaker Black PETG and Gizmodorks TPU.
I added a V2 which increases the length of the top TPU piece a bit and tweaked the dimensions a little more. V2 is the one I Snapmaker asked me to post on the Snapmaker print library.
