📏 Dimensions & Sizing Guide

  • Default Dimensions: The default model has an outer face diameter / height of approx. 30 mm.

  • Scale to Your Ring Size: Because finger sizes vary, you should scale the model uniformly in your slicer before printing:

    1. Find Your Inner Diameter: Measure an existing ring that fits you, or measure your finger diameter in millimeters (mm).

    2. Check the Slicer Inner Diameter: Measure the inner hole diameter of the ring in your slicer (e.g. PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer).

    3. Calculate Scale Factor:

      $$\text{Scale \%} = \left(\frac{\text{Target Finger Inner Diameter (mm)}}{\text{Default Model Inner Diameter (mm)}}\right) \times 100$$

    4. Ensure Uniform Scaling is checked so the proportions and intricate details remain intact.

🖨 Recommended Print Settings

  • Filament Recommendation: Silk Gold PLA (gives a stunning, shiny metallic jewelry look) or resin (SLA) for the highest level of micro-detail.

  • Layer Height:

    • 0.08 mm – 0.12 mm (FDM) for ultra-fine relief details.

    • Adaptive layer height recommended for curved top surfaces.

  • Nozzle Size: A 0.2 mm nozzle will yield the crispest filigree results, though a finely tuned 0.4 mm nozzle also works well.

  • Orientation: Print angled slightly backwards or flat on the ring base with minimal supports.

  • Supports: Tree / Organic Supports enabled for the overhangs inside the band and under the oval bezel.

  • Infill: 100% (solid) recommended for strength and a satisfying, heavier feel.
