Meet the MultiTool, a compact, pocket-sized Swiss Army knife designed specifically for students, creators, and daily desk work. It packs six essential school tools into a single, sleek, 3D-printable design that requires absolutely zero support material.

With a total weight of only 54.6 grams, this lightweight gadget easily slides into any pencil case or pocket.

📐 6 Integrated Features:

  1. 20cm Ruler: The two main segments unfold to form a continuous, reliable ruler up to 20 cm.

  2. 0–180° Protractor: Easily measure or draw angles by unfolding the arm.

  3. Compass Function: Pull the pencil out of its storage slot, pop it into the dedicated compass arm, and use the built-in pivot point to draw perfect circles.

  4. Pencil Holder: Features a secure integrated slot to always keep a standard pencil ready at hand.

  5. Micro SD Card Slot: Safely stores Micro SD cards on the go.

  6. Storage Compartment: A built-in small pocket to keep paperclips, or other flat essentials organized.

🛠 Assembly Instructions (Filament Riveting)

No extra screws or hardware needed! This model uses standard 1.75mm 3D printing filament as assembly pins.

  1. Align the printed parts and slide pieces of 1.75mm filament through the hinge holes.

  2. Cut the filament completely flush with the outer cover plates.

  3. Briefly heat the ends with the flat tip of a soldering iron so the material expands into the recess and locks the axis securely in place.

📹 Assembly Video: Check the project files! I uploaded a short assembly video as a ZIP file to show you exactly how to do the filament welding.

⚠ Slicer Warning (.stl files): The text and markings are embedded as separate geometries for easy multicolor assignment. When importing the .stl file, do NOT split it into separate Objects. Keep it as a single Object with multiple Parts. Splitting it into objects will break the alignment and cause print failures!

edit: I added an additional slider with an Clip function. Choose the one you like. New ideas are welcome.
