The SubZero mixer boards SZ-Mix04 to 08 have great quality on minimal space - but sometimes when you're not a professional or you are in hurry, you won't find the right knob to bypass the important channel on the mixing console - or, even worse, you tune in to the wrong channel and cause a creepy feedback.
Here is my solution: coloured knob collars for the potentiometer knobs. You may choose the colors by importance or perhaps you fix colored electrical tape on the lines, according to the collar color.
When attaching the rings: Don't press them down right to the front panel of the housing - leave them 1mm above. So they won't go beyond the knob, and they won't scratch the surface of the housing.
And - - as if you hadn't already noticed - there is a small notch in the collar for the marking line of the knob.
Press collar into place in the right orientation! If you don't care for the notch: The random success rate is 25 percent.
