ASRock BC250 Complete-ish CAD 3D Model
Why Does This Exist?
My project required a detailed ASRock BC250 model so I could design custom cooling and enclosure solutions.
Every public BC250 model I found was either dimensionally inaccurate or missing the surface-mounted components I needed to account for. I appreciate the work those folks shared, but my project needed substantially more detail and accuracy.
What’s Included
Detailed BC250 PCB assembly
PCB outline, cutouts, thickness, & mounting holes
APU package and exposed die
VRMs, memory packages, capacitors, headers, & significant SMD components
Rear I/O & Power connectors
Original stock heatsink assembly, complete w/ heatpipes
Original backplate
Modified 3-piece heatsink arrangement, matching a cut stock assembly
STEP assembly
Autodesk Fusion F3D file
Component Color Key
Red: Components cooled by the stock heatsink that require thermal-interface material
Yellow: Clearance-sensitive components to avoid when designing aftermarket coolers
Silver APU: Yes, this needs cooling too. Duh.
The colors identify the factory-cooled components and clearance hazards I considered most important for cooler design. Cooling additional components is fine, provided you don’t crush them or electrically short anything.
Accuracy and Intended Use
This model was reverse-engineered directly from a physical ASRock BC250 using digital calipers, skew-corrected photographs, physical test fitting, and an unreasonable amount of manual alignment.
I paid the closest attention to mounting geometry, cooler fitment, component clearance, and rear I/O placement.
This is not manufacturer-supplied engineering CAD or a micrometer-accurate model. Some locations and shapes rely on corrected-photo alignment and careful eyeballing where direct measurement wasn’t practical.
What's that mean? I got as close as I reasonably could after spending far too many hours on it. It still isn’t perfect.
Print Parameters
Don’t.
Seriously, this is a CAD reference for designing other parts. It isn’t intended to be printed.
No STL, 3MF, or print settings are included.
Why are you still reading these parameters?
Project
This model was created for my BC250 Steam Machine project, where I’m turning this unusual mining board into a compact SteamOS couch-gaming system.
