At my age, it is hard for me to get to the corners while cleaning the inside of my car's windshield. I made this to assist me in this task. I use a microfiber cloth which is retained on the cleaning head with a rubber band. There is a groove around the edge of the cleaning head to accommodate the band's retention. I made this so that different lengths of handles can be made to fit differing circumstances. The handle is in segments of 1 or two inch increments. The smooth segments can be scaled in the z direction to make longer or shorter increments. There are both smooth and bumpy varieties. The handle is reinforced with 1/4 in threaded rod.

To make this, first decide how long to make your handle. I made mine 6 inches long. I used 2 inches of smooth segments and 2 - 2 inch bumpy segments. The threaded rod needs to be 1 and 1/8 inches longer than the sum of the lengths of all of the segments. Since I used 6 inches of segments, I cut the threaded rod for the handle truss rod to be 7 and 1/8 inches. You will need to also cut another piece of 1/4 threaded rod to a length of 2.5 inches for the pivot. You will also need 4 of the 1/4 - 20 nuts. Two of the nuts are buried in the parts, one in the pommel and one in the pivot. You will need to pause these two parts during printing in order to insert the nuts before resuming. The .3mf project files of these two parts show the proper layer for the pause.  PETG or some other heat resistant filament is recommended.

If you are making this using 6 mm threaded rod, scale all of the parts and measurements up by 5.6%.

For example, 2.5 in becomes 70 mm, and 7-1/8 in becomes 192 mm for the conversion and the up scale.

Assembly:

First attach the pivot to the cleaning head using the shorter rod and 2 nuts. Do not over tighten. Next, screw the truss rod into the pivot in to just before it hits the shorter rod. Slide the handle segments over the truss rod. Finally screw on the pommel. Place whatever you are using for a cleaning cloth aver the cleaning head and retain with a rubber band. A microfiber wash cloth worked well for me. I could have trimmed it so that it looked neater, but I didn't want it to unravel when washed.

Hope it works for you as well as it did for me.
