WARNING - UNTESTED
This adapter is designed around the stock toolhead of the Encore 3D printer. It is intended to facilitate the use of a Wristwatch as a Direct Drive extruder, without sacrificing on build volume or altering a stock part. Adjusting for Sherpa Mini or Orbiter with these considerations should be trivial.
BOM:
- 2x button cap screws M3x6
- 2x heat inserts M3x5x4
- 2x button cap screws M3x14 (to replace 2 M3x10 screws that bolt the carriage to the MGN block)
- 1x wristwatch extruder
Stock wire routing is respected and sharp edges avoided in these areas. The base sits in the female thread interface for the pneumatic coupler, and is secured directly on the MGN9C block along with the carriage (use M3x14 instead of M3x10).
Use 2 heat inserts and M3x6 screws to bolt the extruder to the mount.
Print upside down with 4 perimeters and use supports.
