The weedeater I have has a bumper for feeding the line that is part of the spool, so when it wears down, you have to replace the whole spool. Not an issue generally, but the company doesn't make replacement spools, so you have to buy an entire trimmer head. Instead of that, I made this design that just screws on.
I don't remember exactly what size of hex nut I made this for, but I might remix it later with a larger lock nut, because that would work way better. This fits a screw and bolt I happened to have on hand. Please feel free to reach out to me and I'll be happy to share the stl in its original parts to help with remixing.
