Nespresso coffee capsule refilling tools

A set of tools for cleaning and re-filling coffee capsules for Nespresso Vertuo coffee makers (or similar). 

Nespresso coffee capsules are good quality and inexpensive, but if you want to reduce waste and use any coffee you choose with your coffee maker, then you just need to get some re-usable lids, clean and refill a used capsule, and place the re-usable lid on.  Search your favorite online store for something like "coffee capsule lids". I like the silicone ones.

I made a stand to hold the capsule, because when I try to fill a capsule while holding it in one hand it always slips out of my grip sending a shower of coffee grounds everywhere.  The stand solves that problem and if there is any spill over, it is conveniently captured in the tray below. Then I made the capsule cleaning tool to make removing old spent coffee from the capsule quick and easy. It self cleans with a couple hard knocks.  There is a tamper tool as well, but honestly I don't even use it anymore. I add a few scoops of coffee and tap one of the legs of the stand until the coffee grounds level. If I fill my capsule more than ~80%, I tend to get errors/failures with the coffee maker, but if you are determined to try and pack in as much as you can, the tamper helps.

PLA works fine for all parts.  I would be careful not to put a hot (just used) capsule in the stand if it is PLA though. For best results with the cleaning tool, I recommend printing it with a flexible material. PLA for the cleaner does an okay job, but TPU works great.
