If you want to create a hanging uplight using 2 x 12mm LED Strip (or more!) feel free to use this end cap design.
The design assumes a 40mm Aluminium RIght Angle extrusion that is 3mm thick. This should be good enough for a 2 meter long light fitting without too much sag (maybe a couple of mm).
It assumes you will use 2.5mm heavy duty electrical wire for the low voltage (eg. 24VDC) power lines for the LED strips. This then becomes the suspension wire for the light fitting, and you leave the LED Transformer / WLED module in the ceiling. Try to find white 2.5mm heavy duty wire.
The + and - DC wires fit into the Fixture A and Fixture B and the whole assembly is screwed using M3 bolts . You have a choice of using a brass insert into the ABS (why its 5mm thick) or to tap the Aluminium and screw the bolts into the metal.
Ill do some test prints and may update the design. The file is F360 with parametric values so you can tweak and tune to suit your needs.
