I almost never use AI tools for 3D model generation, however I decided to play around with Grok AI to see if it could generate Matlab code to create an STL file of the Matlab logo. Lo and behold it was able to successfully do it in two different ways creating both a membrane model as well as a solid square base version. I did provide few manual tweaks and post process edits to get the desired output models provided here. Makes a great print for your engineering geeks and computer nerds.
🖨 Printing Tips:
The solid base model is printable without supports.
The membrane model needs supports, I also recommend using a brim, slightly rotating it and shifting down in z-axis. I uploaded an example picture with the brim and supports to serve as a guide.
Silky filament gives a really nice look.
