When using double-stack mags with the Protean, I noticed that when using very worn (club) darts combined with them being left in the magazine for an extended period of time, you can run into an issue where, upon feeding the first round, you can accidentally double-feed (third image) because the darts would be effectively sitting next to each other rather than being staggered.
I basically just raised the front wall (see image 2), ideally increasing worn dart tolerances, so the next dart would need to be significantly more degraded than a dart in an original double-stack mag to have a double-feed malfunction.
Not a complete fix unfortunately, but better than nothing.
I have no idea if this thing works with other double-stack blasters, but there shouldn't be a reason it does not.
