Kobalt 10" drill press comes with a a rack and pinion setup to adjust the plate height, but for whatever reason they didn't bother to make it so you can bolt the rack into place.
This device adds a lot of friction to resist the plate turning around the arm. It may or may not fit other models, I don't have others to check against. It does not prevent all movement, just most. If scaling up or down remember your bolt holes will also change dimension. Resin printable.

M5 washers (4)
M5 locking washers (2)
M5 nuts (2)
Only the bolts and nuts are strictly necessary, but recommend at least adding washers on each end to distribute the forces into the plastic arms.
