This is a replacement for plastic viewfinder loupe frame I found broken in old EL camera.
This one only fits older manually folding viewfinder style - not the later self folding "origami" style.
Unfortunately, these small tabs/legs that goes through the small openings in the metal viewfinder lid are very thin. I tried to model them with a self-locking protrusion, but those legs are so thin, that it get easily broken when inserted. Tried both PETG and PLA, both materials are too fragile. Maybe FDM print would be better for this part.
At the end, I printed the legs without any protrusion and melted them with hot screwdriver from the other side. They are still very fragile, but once secured, they hold the loupe just fine and survive the rapid deploy of the loupe when released.
Two models were uploaded:
with the protrusions to lock the frame on place, problematic
without the protrusions – legs must be melted or secured by glue from other side
