BMW e46 window regulator started skipping I have designed repair part.
In order to change it, you need to remove the door covers, and i will not explain this, there are hunderds of videos on YouTube for This.
Print the Gear part with nylon minimum. Increase the wall count to 50 to obtain full part.
Gear part have integrated 2mm holes for adding metal pins as reinforcement. 9 pins in total, lenght 9.8mm, i made those manually by cutting steel parts from 4mm auminium rivets. If necessary dril-out the holes again with 2mm drill. Insert 9x pins and soak the part in the water for minimum 24hr.
Print the rubber dampers with TPU, 3 walls and 40% Gyroid infill.
Once you remove the motor assembly, remove the thin black plastic cover and remove the big plastic gear together with the inside dampers. You shoud remain with empty plastic case where only middle metal pin and motor gear is visible.
Insert the rubber dampers in the biggest white gear.
Next insert the printed gear.
Now assemble all together on the main metal shaft, and return the plastic cover.
Reinstall in the car.
