Features

  • Designed for material approximately 10–100 mm wide.

  • One-piece design with two integrated guide pins.

  • 2.5 mm pencil-tip hole with a tapered entrance.

  • Overall dimensions: 138 × 22 × 16 mm.

  • Prints without supports.

  • Printed and tested in practice.

How to Use

  1. Place the tool on the workpiece with the guide pins pointing down on opposite sides.

  2. Gently rotate it until both pins touch the sides of the workpiece.

  3. Insert a pencil into the center hole and hold it upright.

  4. Slide the tool along the workpiece, keeping both pins in contact with the sides.

Works best on straight stock with parallel sides. Rounded or irregular edges may reduce marking accuracy.

Recommended Print Settings

  • Material: standard PLA

  • Nozzle: 0.4 mm

  • Layer height: 0.20 mm

  • Perimeters: 5

  • Infill: 40% gyroid

  • Supports: none

  • Orientation: flat face on the build plate, guide pins pointing up

Approximately 40 minutes and 14 g of PLA on a Prusa MK4 with Input Shaper. Print time and material usage depend on your settings.

Accuracy Check

Draw a line on a scrap piece, rotate the tool 180° and mark again. The lines should overlap. Avoid pushing the pencil sideways, as clearance around the tip can affect accuracy.

For thin workpieces, raise the material so the guide pins do not drag on the workbench.
