This is a school project of which i went totally overboard and made over 40 iterations optimizing the design with CFD. I think schools could use this design to teach students about aerodynamics as well. Or the curios person can try it for themselves
With 8,4 m/s of wind it makes around 82 grams of downforce
And you can feel how it redirects the wind around the wing elements. It's real science and it's pretty cool!
Print one side horisontally with endplate attached to the wing. Print the 2. endplate thereafter and glue it with some loctite or something. I used loctite Super Glue
