BESCHREIBUNG

DESCRIPTION
I used these idler pulleys for the GT2 timing belts to replace all 12 original pulleys on my Prusa Core One.
All M3 screws are reused.
A complete set consists of 24 ball bearings, as well as 10 (20 halves) smooth idlers and 2 (4 halves) 21-tooth pulleys. I ran out of perimeters for the standard 20-tooth version. It was a great exercise in Fusion 360.
The precision miniature ball bearings (623 2RS CN ZV2 P6 GS 3x10x4 mm) are characterized by smooth, low-friction operation; they cost a few cents more, but you get a discount when buying in quantity.
Printer: MK4S

The aforementioned seam arrangement prevents the pulley from "bouncing" due to eccentricity; it also improves the press-fit of the bearings.
The press-in tool (PulleyDockVF.stl) is printed in PLA using the standard profile.
Additionally, a Ø3x30 cylindrical pin is required to keep the bearing perfectly vertical while pressing it in—hence the need for a drill press. Tilting destroys the thin wall.
I have only been using the rollers (as of July 6, 2026) for a few test prints—approximately 23 hours of actual printing time according to the odometer.
We’ll see how long that lasts. Today, the printer is being completely disassembled for the upgrade to Gen 2 and the 4-tool INDX.
