## What is this?

A 3D-printable interference screw for graft fixation in knee ligament reconstruction training. Two variants are provided: an 8 x 20 mm screw with standard tip and an 8 mm screw with blunt (rounded) tip. The screw has a hex drive socket and can be inserted with a standard interference screw driver, reproducing the insertion of the screw between the graft and the tunnel wall.

This model is part of a series of knee ligament reconstruction models developed by the orthopedic surgical simulation group of Hospital de Clínicas – Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR) and the 3D Printing Laboratory of the Centro de Simulação Profª Leide Parolin Marinoni, Curitiba, Brazil.

## What is it for?

- Teaching interference screw fixation of the graft in ACL and other ligament reconstructions

- Practicing screw insertion parallel to the graft inside the bone tunnel

- Use with the printable knee models of this series (transtibial, outside-in, ACL + ALL, LaPrade and others)

- Hands-on workshops for medical students and orthopedic residents

## Files

- interference_screw_8x20mm.3mf – print plate, standard tip

- interference_screw_8mm_blunt_tip.3mf – print plate, blunt tip

- .step and .f3d – editable CAD source for both variants

## Other materials needed

- Interference screw driver (hex) or a compatible hex screwdriver

- Knee model with pre-made tunnels (available in this series) and graft substitute (shoelace)
