A tactile 3D-printed model of Independence Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania — the building where the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution were debated and adopted. The model measures 152 mm long, 53 mm wide and 84 mm tall, at approximately 1:552 scale.
The building consists of four parts: the tower, the museum behind the tower, and two annex buildings connected to the museum by an open arcade with three arches. The tower rises from four square bases to an eight-sided dome with vaulted openings, with four cornices below the dome, railings with vase-like decorations, clocks on each side, and windows all around.
The museum section has a railed roof area, a sundial, basement windows, and rows of windows and doors; the two side buildings look identical with two rows of windows and chimneys. Like all models in this series, it is designed for tactile exploration with sturdy, touchable details and no braille labels.
