Background

I needed a way to organize my power tools so I designed hangers to mount them to the metal pegboard wall I got from HBM.

Sadly it doesn't seem to be a standard pegboard pattern, but if you already have this type of pegboard and use Ryobi/Bosch green tools, this is for you!

Print instructions

Use a rigid but environmentally resistant material like PETG, PCTG or ASA for best long-term results.

These are general guidelines/settings for printing;

  • Print oriented as provided

  • Inner-outer or inner-outer-inner wall order for reliable overhangs.

  • 0.2mm+ layer height for strength

  • 5+ walls/top/bottom for strength

  • 15%+ gyroid or cubic infill for strength

  • No supports, tune your overhangs first instead

  • No brims (unless you have adhesion issues, but I printed mine on a bedslinger so you should be fine)

If you plan on hanging really heavy tools on it you can decide to use more walls or increase infill.

You'll need to print two mount connectors for each mount.

Required materials

The battery holders require no additional materials.

For the toolmount you need:

  • 4 x m3x5x4 heat inserts

  • 4 x m3x6mm bolts

Installation instructions

For the toolmount, you first need to install the heat inserts into the tool addon from the bottom.
After that you can choose to orient it either facing left or right on the universal mount, assemble using the four bolts.

For all mounts, you should be able to slide the mount connectors in from the bottom, they should bottom out fully, due to print imperfections or shrinking they can bind a little, don't be afraid to use a bit of force.

To hang them up onto the pegboard, tilt the mount back and slot the hooks in the keyholes, now tilt it forward and slide down to secure in place.

Notes

I'll be updating this in due time but I haven't gotten around to making more variants, the pictures show the models in different stages of development so expect things will look more consistent on your end.

If you're interested in the pegboard itself, I got it from here; https://www.hbm-machines.com/nl/p/hbm-stalen-gereedschapswand-met-18-haken
