Dog Poop Picker

                                   THE DOG POOP PICKER!!!

What is it? 

The title is pretty self explanatory however here is a bigger idea of what it is -> 

So this is a custom designed dog poop picker that i made to be 3d printable. All components other than the spring are 3d printed!!! It has a little storage area near the top outer handle that one can use to store disposable bags for the poop. I also tried making it ergonomic with depressions for where the fingers sit however that depends on how big your fingers are :)

Assembly Instructions 

(this is gonna be a slightly big section so yea srry that this requires this much assembly but it is a big project after all....)

- step1- Print all the parts, including the extensions and every single thing in the 3d model files other than the assembly.stl and assembly.step

- step2- Label all the parts with paper tape so that it is easier to identify the parts. label their names as given in the model names.

- step3- Now we need to take the left and the right scoop's and along with that we also need to take the left and right scoop pullers. You will notice that there is a depression in the scoops which allow the pullers to perfectly fit inside. So take resin/CA glue and glue the pullers into the depressions as shown in the picture below

- step4- Next pass the the locker and inner puller part through the right puller but dont glue it we will need it loose for the next step. Next u will notice that there is another depression in the right scoop puller such that the left scoop puller perfectly fits into it, so hence again apply CA/resin glue and join the two scoop pullers together as shown in the picture below.

- step5- Now you need to take the the locker and inner part that is there freely on the right puller and u need to take that to the center of both the pullers and the again glue both the pullers together with the the locker and inner puller part as shown in the pic.

- step6- Now it is time to put on the part labelled outer puller tube (not the extension). Put the outer puller tube over the the locker and inner puller part that we just attatched in the previous step but do not glue it down. notice that its top should be alongside the top of the the locker and inner puller.

- step7- Now take a 97mm spring (preferably metal (this is the only part that is not 3d printed since it shall come under a lot of stress.  Then pass both the ends of the spring through the two holes on the locker and inner puller and the right scoop. 

- step8- Next u will notice that the top of the locker and inner puller will have a depression in it (we will come to that later)

What you need to do now is u need to take the outer puller tube **extension** and attach it to the outer puller tube

- step9- Now we come back to the depression on top of the the locker and inner puller that we mentioned in the above step... you should be able to see that wehn you look inside the outer puller tube extension. What you need to do now is that u need to take the inner puller handle and extension and apply ca/resin glue onto the protrusion on it and put that into the depression that u can see on top of  the locker and inner puller (IMPORTANT NOTE -> while putting it in you will need to pass the inner puller handle and extension through the outer puller tube extension so make sure that the protrusion does not touch the inner surface of the outer puller tube extension). Now this should result in the inner tube too being complete!!!

- At this point your dog poop picker would look something like this -> 

- step10- So now what we will need to do is we need to attatch the handle for the outer tube extension, and to do that we shall take the part labelled outer puller tube handle and apply glue onto both its inner ends, next we will slowly slide it onto the top of the outer puller tube extension's top and hold it there till the glue dry's completely and the handle is secure as shown in the following pic -> 

- step11- Now take the hinge rod and push it inside the hinge hole on the scoops as shown in the pic -->

- step12- Now for one of the last steps, what you need to do is you need to take both the outer puller tube attatchment (outer puller tube attatchment 1 and outer puller tube attatchment 2) and then apply glue onto their ends too and attatch the straight end onto both the ends of the hinge rod, and the 90 degree bent ends onto the bottom of the outer puller tube like in the pic bellow -->

- step13- Reinforce the joints of both the outer puller tube attatchments by applying a little CA/Resin glue to the places where they are connected to the other parts. 

AND YOU ARE DONE ASSEMBLING THE DOG POOP PICKER!!!!

HAVE FUN PICKING UP YOUR DOG'S POOP WITH THE FULLY (except for the spring) 3D PRINTED DOG POOP PICKER!!!!!
