I based it off of the circular shift knob that appears in the show Mandalorian. I made it in in a 2 1/2 inch and 2 inch size. You can print it in 3 different ways. First is with a multi-color printer, where you would make two parts blue as shown in the picture. You could also print it twice, once with silver filament, and then print the 3 Inserts in blue filament. This way would probably need glue. Lastly (and most complicated) with a single color printer, where you would put a pause in the print in 3 places and switch between silver and blue filament.
I think only the cutout in the middle of the sphere would need supports
