What is it ?

A lightweight, low profile slick 3d print that locks IPD and Focus settings of the Orqa FPV One.Pilot (v2) Goggles.

Sick of adjusting your optics between every session, pack, or after wiping the lenses got your settings all over the place ? This is the fix !

Original idea from Ilikebananas, I used his base to make it slicker and lock the focus ring aswell.

How to measure

Get the perfect fit on the first print :

  • Turn on your Orqas, wear them and adjust your IPD to the perfection

  • Flip your goggles, grab your calipers

  • Measure the distance between the edge of the focus ring and the outer plastic as shown below, grab the print file that's the closest match to the measured value, in my case 3.5mm.

Careful of the symmetry

The optic setting footprint is symmetrical, the locking print will fit on both the left and right one, make sure to remember where you positioned the Left and Right version on your print bed otherwise you'll end up with the literal opposite of your measurement !

Left is for your left eye, right is for your right eye, it can get confusing as you flip the goggles over to fit the prints.

Material and Print settings

Print in rigid material, I used PETG printed at 0.08mm/layer for maximum precision.

Flip it IPD slider face down so that the textured bed face is against the goggles plastic to hide it (purely esthetic), no supports needed, bridges are small enough to send it straight up.

Installation

Make sure to adjust your focus ring before installing the print as it'll be locking it aswell.

The print clips in place rather firmly and is removable thanks to slots on the side providing enough grip to slide it back out (not visible on this testprint, learnt the hard way lol)
