This detailed freight yard structure features a classic goods shed design with a functional loading dock. Inspired by traditional railway logistics hubs, it captures the industrial essence of historical transport networks. For best results, ensure supports are enabled for the overhanging dock area during printing.
Size as supplied: 100.0 x 63.9 x 40.0 mm (L x W x H), about 1:300 scale.
Print settings: PLA, 0.12-0.16 mm layers, 0.4 mm nozzle (0.2-0.25 mm for extra-fine detail), 3 walls, 15% infill, 3-5 mm brim.
Supports: needed for undersides and overhangs. Use tree/organic supports touching the build plate only; enable 'support on build plate only' to keep detail faces clean. Support Z distance 0.2 mm and interface layers make removal easy.
Pre-oriented: the 3MF is already placed upright on the build plate (z = 0) - print it as supplied, no rotation needed.
Rescale table (always scale uniformly):
- As supplied: about 1:300 (real object about 30.0 m on its longest side).
- HO 1:87: scale uniformly to 345% (longest side 345 mm).
- OO 1:76.2: scale uniformly to 394% (longest side 394 mm).
- N 1:160: scale uniformly to 188% (longest side 188 mm).
- TT 1:120: scale uniformly to 250% (longest side 250 mm).
- O 1:48: scale uniformly to 625% (longest side 625 mm).
Included files: the 3MF model, a print guide PDF (settings, supports, bed placement, colours, painting, reference views), a dimensions and scaling sheet, orientation and support tips, a real-world inspiration note and a README.
Images: all pictures are digital renders of the 3D model, not photos of a printed copy.
