This design captures the utilitarian aesthetic of a classic concrete railway shelter with clean geometric lines. It is inspired by real-world transit infrastructure, offering a realistic representation for your layout. For best results, use supports to maintain the structural integrity of the overhanging roof during printing.
Size as supplied: 100.0 x 66.5 x 70.2 mm (L x W x H), about 1:100 scale.
Print settings: PLA, 0.12-0.16 mm layers, 0.4 mm nozzle (0.2-0.25 mm for extra-fine detail), 3 walls, 15% infill, 3-5 mm brim.
Supports: needed for undersides and overhangs. Use tree/organic supports touching the build plate only; enable 'support on build plate only' to keep detail faces clean. Support Z distance 0.2 mm and interface layers make removal easy.
Pre-oriented: the 3MF is already placed upright on the build plate (z = 0) - print it as supplied, no rotation needed.
Rescale table (always scale uniformly):
- As supplied: about 1:100 (real object about 10.0 m on its longest side).
- HO 1:87: scale uniformly to 115% (longest side 115 mm).
- OO 1:76.2: scale uniformly to 131% (longest side 131 mm).
- N 1:160: scale uniformly to 62% (longest side 62 mm).
- TT 1:120: scale uniformly to 83% (longest side 83 mm).
- O 1:48: scale uniformly to 208% (longest side 208 mm).
Included files: the 3MF model, a print guide PDF (settings, supports, bed placement, colours, painting, reference views), a dimensions and scaling sheet, orientation and support tips, a real-world inspiration note and a README.
Images: all pictures are digital renders of the 3D model, not photos of a printed copy.
Note: the upright orientation of this piece is still being double-checked - preview it in your slicer and rotate if needed before printing.
