A compact, four-part shower attachment for the 28 mm CNOC bag used with my Sawyer Squeeze setup. It replaces the filter for shower use and adds a hand-operated shutoff valve. The upper body has fixed grip tabs for attaching and removing the shower with wet hands.

PRINTING

PLA has worked well for me. It is surprisingly robust even with two walls and 15% infill, so you can choose more walls if you prefer added strength over lower weight. The supplied Bambu Studio profile is a sturdier starting point: 0.2 mm layers, 0.4 mm nozzle, three walls, 15% grid infill, and Auto Tree supports. Use Auto Tree supports around the captive valve's paddle grip and the upper body's grip features. Preview the supports and clean them off carefully, especially near threads and mating faces. Print at 100% scale.

PARTS

1. Shower body and bag grip (blue in the illustrations)

2. Captive valve with paddle grip (orange)

3. Recessed spray plate (teal)

4. Threaded retaining collar (gray)

No purchased hardware or soft seal is required. Individual 3MF parts, the complete Bambu Studio project, and STEP assembly CAD are included. If you already have the earlier lower three parts, only the revised upper body needs reprinting.

ASSEMBLY

Feed the valve paddle through the spray plate from the wet side, engage the threads gently, and leave it open. Lower the upper body over the valve, aligning the body's broad lugs with the plate recesses. Slide the retaining collar on from below and hand-tighten until the plate is seated evenly. Use the fixed body grip when attaching or removing the shower from the bag. Viewed from below, turn the center paddle clockwise for OFF and counterclockwise for ON. The assembly images are CAD illustrations of these steps.

Check thread fit, flow, and leaks with cool water over a sink before outdoor use. This is a shower attachment, not a water filter; water through it is untreated. Hand-tighten normally and keep mating surfaces clean.
