General

Original ground up design of an LED mounting system for the Centauri 2 Combo. Note this is NOT been checked against the Centauri 2 Carbon combo or the standard Centauri 2 but it should fit on the latter. All reference to sides is based on looking down at the printer in plan.

4 development versions added for you to choose and modify. Lighting is from 2 sides (left and right) angled towards the build plate. No gluing required however I am using removable double sided tape between the printer and parts to keep it completely rattle free.

I am using version 3 but designed version 4 for a future print.

For wiring instructions follow those of the Centauri Carbon 2 combo readily available online.

Development History

All edges are approximately 7mm wide.
The general Elegoo Centauri 2 carbon lip the part fits into is 4mm deep. Each corner is raised by 1mm for 30mm in each direction accounted for in all versions.
The channels along the left and right allow for an 8mm wide LED strip.

Version 1
Initial design printed in 4 parts.
Design allows for no interference with mounted canvas however it does require a little filing for the lips on the edge. Will add a picture explaining this.
There is a 2.3mm x 4mm groove along the top edge to allow for a cable to be run and for it to not overhang in the opening.

Version 2
Building on version 1, profiles were thickened and sides steepened. V1 was fine but thought it could be a little more rigid. Change illustrated in uploaded image.
Assembly was also divided into 5 instead of 4 parts adding a right link to help with 3d printing orientation. Notches added for section that required filing in v1.

Version 3
Dimensions kept the same as V3. Added male and female cut outs to the right link to ensure it stays aligned.
Added links to top, bottom and sides also with male and female grooves forming a completely linked structure and to make sure the parts stay aligned with no need for glue.

Version 4
Shortened the top-left and bottom-left parts leaving a 40mm gap along the left to allow removal of the assembly around the filament tubes without needing to disconnect anything. This is especially true if you want to glue the other parts together but this is not required.
Added the removed profile to the left link, elongated it and added male and female grooves at either end to fit the top-left and top-right parts.
