I used Claude to design this Biberty head for me. It printed surprisingly well for the obscure shape.
After the head finished printing I realized that the back of the head was against the build plate instead of the bottom. I thought about having AI change that so the flat part was on the bottom, but Biberty is always sitting crooked in the commercials so it kind of works out. Printed this way, he can sit at a few goofy angles.
The crown and pupils do NOT need support.
The head, irises, eye whites, & teeth DO need support. (Unless you can orient them better than I did)
I tried to orient them to print with as little support as possible. I used tree supports (organic) and most of them came off with minimal scaring. The head has a lot of supports that need to be removed. It is a bit tedious, but that is just part of the fun.
I had the crown redesigned so the angle of middle point matches the ones next to it. The one I printed (model pictured) has the old crown where the middle point is almost straight up. I included the old crown STL because I have not test fit the new crown.
