🔩 A Different Approach to Modular Connections

Why no dovetails, clips, or snap-fit connectors?

Because sometimes the simplest engineering solution is also the most practical.

Most desktop storage systems are assembled once and remain in the same configuration for years.

Traditional modular connectors can introduce unwanted movement, looseness, visible connection slots, and unnecessary geometric complexity.

MODUBOX deliberately takes a different approach.

Each module features flat, solid mating surfaces, allowing you to permanently or semi-permanently assemble your preferred configuration using:

• Strong double-sided mounting tape

• Suitable adhesive

• Epoxy or acrylic adhesive for permanent assembly

This approach provides several advantages:

• No loose or rattling connections.

• No exposed dovetail channels or unused connection slots.

• Clean, uninterrupted exterior surfaces.

• Strong, stable assemblies when properly bonded.

• Freedom to create different horizontal and vertical arrangements.

🏷 Three Ways to Label Your Drawers

Organization is personal, and your labels should be too.

MODUBOX offers three labeling approaches:

1. Minimalist: No Labels

Leave the drawer fronts plain for a clean, understated appearance.

2. Multicolor Printed Labels

Create colored labels with printed text for a professional, customized finish. Ideal for multicolor 3D printers.

3. Write Your Own Labels

Print the label inserts in plain white and write directly on them using a suitable pen or marker.

This is the method shown in the example photographs.

It's simple, practical, and particularly useful when drawer contents change.

Label dimensions : For small box : 46 x 8 x 2 mm (1 mm fillets look good on front face)
For wide box : 99 x 8 x 2 mm

Print Orientation: Follow the supplied 3MF file

Supports: Required only for the "Boxes" plate

Support Type: Tree

Support Placement: On Build Plate Only

Support Critical Regions Only: Enabled

Important: Support Settings

The supplied 3MF project includes carefully selected print orientations.

Please keep the drawers in their original orientation as provided in the 3MF file.

Only the build plate named "Boxes" requires supports.

For this plate, use the following settings:

• Support Type: Tree

• Support Placement: On Build Plate Only

• Support Critical Regions Only: Enabled

All other components have been designed to print without supports.

Tested in real-world printing: The recommended support configuration has been successfully printed and verified. Supports separate very easily from the finished parts.

No complicated support removal or extensive post-processing is required.
