This is a CUSTOMIZABLE swing check valve teaching model. It is built from a short TrueGeometry Playground recipe, so you can change the scale and the disc angle and rebuild it yourself.

A gold disc on an arm swings on a hinge pin between two cheek posts, away from a cyan seat. Teal bearings and spacers hold the hinge. The open frame shows the disc, hinge, pin and seat so you can move it by hand. Made for students and teachers to print.

Customize it: run check_valve_recipe.txt in a fresh Playground scene with plain Run. Defaults are S=1, ANGLE=0 (closed). ANGLE=70 gives the open pose; use only 0 to 70 degrees. S=0.75 is a calculated compact option (not separately printed or checked). CLEAR is running clearance in real mm.

Full TrueGeometry Playground commands: in the blog article https://blog.truegeometry.com/0_0_0_0/blogs/post-a7cd1b84.html and the attached recipe file. Questions or custom changes: reach out through the article.

FILES

- 01_assembly.stl - full assembly, upright reference (first file). NOT print-in-place.

- 02_SwingAssembly.stl (disc, arm, hub), 12_HingePin, spacers, collars and fixed parts as separate STLs.

- Glue the fixed structure. Pin goes through bearing, spacer, hub, spacer, bearing. Glue the end collars to the pin outside the bearings. Keep glue out of the hinge and running holes.

- No metal hardware needed.

- How-to-run-in-Playground guide (PDF) attached.

HONEST NOTES

- Unprinted and untested. Gravity return of the disc is not proven; friction, glue and material may stop it. There is no positive opening stop. Please print it and post a Make - it helps the community.

- AI-assisted, built natively in TrueGeometry Playground. No outside mesh repair.

- Mesh: all 14 STLs show zero zero-area triangles, boundary edges and non-manifold edges. The assembly is separate shells, not one union.

- 17 CAD intersection tests came back empty. That does not prove printed fit or function.

- Teaching model only. NOT a working valve or backflow protection. Not for water, air, gas or any fluid. Dry, hand-operated use only. Small parts: not a toy for young children.
