A near-future skyscraper design featuring a distinctive open sky lobby gap two-thirds up the structure. Inspired by 2030s architectural trends, this slender glass tower offers a modern aesthetic for scale model collections. Print with supports enabled to ensure the integrity of the upper sections and the sky lobby void.
Size as supplied: 100.0 x 92.8 x 508.6 mm (L x W x H), about 1:240 scale.
Print settings: PLA, 0.12-0.16 mm layers, 0.4 mm nozzle (0.2-0.25 mm for extra-fine detail), 3 walls, 15% infill, 3-5 mm brim.
Supports: needed for undersides and overhangs. Use tree/organic supports touching the build plate only; enable 'support on build plate only' to keep detail faces clean. Support Z distance 0.2 mm and interface layers make removal easy.
Pre-oriented: the 3MF is already placed upright on the build plate (z = 0) - print it as supplied, no rotation needed.
Rescale table (always scale uniformly):
- As supplied: about 1:240 (real object about 24.0 m on its longest side).
- HO 1:87: scale uniformly to 276% (longest side 276 mm).
- OO 1:76.2: scale uniformly to 315% (longest side 315 mm).
- N 1:160: scale uniformly to 150% (longest side 150 mm).
- TT 1:120: scale uniformly to 200% (longest side 200 mm).
- O 1:48: scale uniformly to 500% (longest side 500 mm).
Included files: the 3MF model, a print guide PDF (settings, supports, bed placement, colours, painting, reference views), a dimensions and scaling sheet, orientation and support tips, a real-world inspiration note and a README.
Images: all pictures are digital renders of the 3D model, not photos of a printed copy.
