Here are the recommended slicer settings (for OrcaSlicer, PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio, Cura, etc.) using 1.75 mm PLA filament and a 0.4 mm nozzle to print the Lucky Luke figure shown in the image:

1. Quality & Layer Settings

  • Layer Height: 0.10 mm to 0.12 mm

    • Note: A low layer height ensures smooth transitions along curved surfaces like the cowboy hat, face, arms, and boots.

  • First Layer Height: 0.20 mm (for optimal bed adhesion).

  • Line Width: 0.42 mm (Default/Auto).

2. Support Settings (Essential)

Due to numerous overhanging features (hat brim, outstretched hands, bandana, gun holster), supports are mandatory:

  • Enable Supports: Yes

  • Support Structure: Tree Supports

    • Advantage: Tree supports wrap around delicate limbs and are significantly easier to break away without snapping thin parts like fingers or accessories.

  • Support Placement: Everywhere

  • Overhang Threshold Angle: 45°

  • Top Z Distance: 0.16 mm to 0.20 mm (for clean breakaway interface).

3. Bed Adhesion & Stability

  • Build Plate Adhesion: Outer Brim (5 – 8 mm)

    • Crucial: Since the figure stands on very small contact areas (just the soles of the boots), a wide brim prevents the print from detaching or tipping over mid-print.

4. Walls & Infill

  • Wall Loops / Perimeters: 3

  • Top / Bottom Shells: 4 Top / 4 Bottom

  • Infill Density: 10% to 15%

  • Infill Pattern: Gyroid

5. Temperature, Speed & Cooling

  • Nozzle Temperature: 200°C – 205°C

  • Bed Temperature: 60°C

  • Outer Wall Speed: 30 – 50 mm/s (slower speeds preserve fine facial and clothing details).

  • Cooling Fan: 100% (after layer 2).
