Test results - not currently recommended: tests so far do not recommend these rigid feet over Elegoo's anti-vibration feet. In the October 18 dry-motion comparison, everyday motion was similar, Elegoo's feet produced less shake under hard back-and-forth moves, and noise had no clear winner. Print quality was not compared. This result is for my printer on a stone slab over 9 half tennis balls. Read the test results and charts.

What it is: a set of 4 rigid feet for the Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 (CC2). Each foot is a solid PLA cup with a 32 mm bore that slips over one of the printer's soft stock feet, to give a rigid support and the lift needed for my flat screen backplate.

Fits: Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 (CC2) stock feet. Unofficial part, not made or endorsed by Elegoo. Fit checked on my own CC2 only; see the comparative test results above.

Key points

  • Rigid cup: the stock foot sits in a solid cup; the tests do not establish an anti-rocking advantage.

  • Raises, never lowers: raises the printer a little and never lowers it (the lift my flat screen backplate needs), so the mainboard intake vents underneath stay clear.

  • No hardware, no tools: lift a corner, slip the foot on.

  • No supports, bore up; a set of 4 fits one plate.

  • Size: 40 mm across, 18 mm tall. Set of 4: about 31 g PLA, about 53 min on a CC2.

The original positive impression was superseded by the October 18 comparison linked above.

Remix credit: the cup interface (32 mm bore, 13 mm deep, 12 mm centre clearance) comes from Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 Anti-Vibration Feet by Simple3D (CC BY-NC). Their version adds a TPU spring that raises the printer; this one has a solid 3 mm base instead, for a rigid foot.

Parts list

  • 4 x printed rigid foot (cc2_rigid_foot_x1.stl printed 4 times, or the x4 3MF)

  • Nothing else

Install (about 2 minutes)

  1. Power off the printer and clear the build plate.

  2. Lift one corner a few centimetres.

  3. Slip a foot over the stock foot, open side up, and lower the corner into it.

  4. Repeat for the other 3 corners.

  5. Check that all four cups are fully seated and the printer stands level.

Print settings

  • PLA or PLA+, 0.2 mm layers, 0.4 mm nozzle, stock CC2 "0.20mm Standard" (2 walls, 15 % infill)

  • Bore up, flat base on the bed; files are pre-oriented

  • No supports; brim not needed

  • Set of 4: about 31 g, about 53 min on a CC2 (balanced) plus startup

The 3MF has 4 feet on one plate with the Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 0.4 nozzle profile and stock Elegoo PLA settings; OrcaSlicer-based slicers can open it.

Files

  • cc2_rigid_foot_x1.stl: one foot, pre-oriented

  • cc2_rigid_foot_x1.step: editable solid

  • cc2_rigid_foot_x4.3mf: 4 feet, CC2 profile
