Surface-mount speaker terminal box for 2-way spring terminals
A 3D-printed surface-mount enclosure for the common 2-way spring-clip (push) speaker terminal. It lets you add a binding post to a wooden speaker cabinet without routing a recess into the wood. Just drill a hole for the wires, place the box over it, and screw it down.

Sits on top of the cabinet wall, so no recessed cutout is needed
Removable lid holds the spring terminal in place
Lid secured with four M3 screws into heat-set brass inserts
Countersunk mounting holes for flat-head wood screws
Hardware needed
1x 2-way spring speaker terminal (red/black)
4x M3 brass heat-set inserts (installed in the box body)
4x M3 screws to fasten the lid
2x countersunk (flat-head) wood screws to fix the box to the cabinet
