Grendel — Bust Inspired by Beowulf
Inspired by the epic poem Beowulf, this bust offers a massive, brutal interpretation of Grendel, the monster confronted by the hero.
A low forehead, imposing brow ridges and an exceptionally broad jaw create a threatening face. Deep-set, pupil-less eyes and a closed mouth give him a dark, restrained expression. Irregular facial features reinforce his monstrous character.
A thick neck and powerful shoulders extend this imposing silhouette. Rough skin, deeply carved folds and irregular raised details cover the skull and torso. The bust rests on a cracked-rock pedestal that complements its primitive appearance.
This creation is a freely imagined artistic interpretation of the literary character. The anatomy, textures and proportions are sculptural choices, without attempting to reproduce any particular film adaptation.
The base of this model was generated using Hi3D, then refined using Blender and/or Meshmixer to create the final bust.
