A pocket-size Morse code reference card with all 26 letters and 10 numbers. The dots and dashes are raised, so you can see them and feel them.
Handy for scouts, classrooms, escape rooms, new ham radio operators, or anyone learning Morse who wants a chart that survives being in a bag.
Print settings
Size: 115 x 78 mm, 2.2 mm thick
Layer height: 0.2 mm (0.12 mm if you want crisper letters)
Nozzle: 0.4 mm
Infill: 100% (it is thin)
Supports: none, print flat
Two colours (optional): add a filament change at 1.6 mm so the letters and symbols stand out from the card
How to read the card
Dots are round bumps, dashes are long bars. A dash is three times as long as a dot, the same ratio used when sending Morse.
When you send or listen:
a dot is 1 unit, a dash is 3 units
the gap inside a letter is 1 unit
the gap between letters is 3 units
the gap between words is 7 units
Customise it
The OpenSCAD source is included. You can change the card size, thickness, relief height, row spacing and font at the top of the file. If you add letters or punctuation, add them to the letters list as ["?", "..--.."].
Practise with it
The card tells you what each letter looks like. To learn what they sound like, pair it with a few minutes of listening practice a day:
Learn Morse code: a free Koch method trainer that adds one letter at a time
Morse code translator: type anything and hear it as sound, light or vibration
Printable chart: a paper version for the wall
