A very basic shell. Doesn't look nice, but it works better than any others I've found.
To provide strain relief, attach something to the wire inside the socket that won't pass through the cable hole, e.g. I used two cable ties.
To assemble use 4 M2x12 self-tapping countersunk screws.
For those who use OpenSCAD, I've included the scad file in case you want to remix this. It requires this library: https://github.com/nophead/NopSCADlib (for the D-socket model it is built around).
