Surprise trick-or-treat visitors with this animated pumpkin!

Place the trigger out of sight inside a windowsill, behind a table, or under a counter and wait for guests to approach. With a discreet press, the pumpkin suddenly springs to life, waving a lollipop as if possessed by Halloween magic.

The motion is transmitted through a Bowden cable, allowing the trigger to be positioned out of sight while the pumpkin remains the center of attention.

Combined with base, becomes the perfect storage for your halloween candy!

Assembly Instructions

Two Bowden solutions incorporated:

Option1: 1.75mm Filament with 4mm PTFE and PC4-M10 connectors used on many 3D printer feeding mechanisms

Option2: 0.5mm fishing line with 1.4mm PTFE, more flexible but more delicate.

To Start: Cut the PTFE to length. Be cautious not to squash the PTFE during this cutting process. A PTFE tube cutter works well. A counter sink tool bit can help remove any deformity.

Screw the relevant PTFE Adaptor into the back of the body, and insert the PTFE tube.

Tip: The PC4-M10 can offer some adjustment capability here to compensate tolerance/slack

Feed the bowden cable through the PTFE tube into the body.

Use an 8mm section of 1.75mm filament to combine the Lever and Socket Assembly for LH and RH

Tip: Use chicken wire / needle to ensure the 1.75mm holes are clean and circular.

The filament should push through and remain secure in position, the movement of the knuckle should be smooth.

Insert the Filament/Fishing Wire and secure with M3 Screw

Insert the axles - checking they rotate freely, without resistance. Orientate the flat spots of the axles to align with the lever mechanism. Secure the Axle/Lever Assembly with the M3x6mm(min) screws. Check the movement remains fluid.

Following the Triger Instructions in the attached PDF

Complete the body by gluing the LH and RH hands to the axle ends with the hands pointing up in a neutral position.
