This LED strip cartridge can be inserted into a 3D printed vase to turn it into a lamp. The cartridge also works as a bud vase.
Instructions
Print the insert, then wrap an LED strip around it. I used this COB strip, but any strip up to 10mm wide should work.
To prepare the vase, load the model into the slicer, than load one of the negative volume objects as a negative volume. (PrusaSlicer instructions) It will subtract the threaded hole and cable passage from the model. Use whichever negative volume object is big enough that the outer ring doesn't intersect the vase.
If your vase uses "vase mode", give it enough solid bottom layers that the bottom is 7mm thick. E.g., at 0.2mm layer height, 7mm / 0.2mm/layer = 35 layers.
Rescaling tip in PrusaSlicer 2.X (may work in other slicers, too): load the vase at 100% scale. Subtract the negative volume. Then scale the vase part (not the whole object) to your desired size. Finally, drop the negative volume to the print bed. (Use the little icon just to the right of the part's Z position.) That will scale the vase but not the hole.
Use the wrench to screw in the insert, if needed.
Notes
The photos show Stephanie's Knotted Vase V2 and A *slightly* Overengineered Olpe Vase by Nat. The roses are Lytta's Spiral Vase Rose atop Lucretia's XL Stem for Rose.
I modeled this in Fusion 360. I've included the CAD files in Fusion native (.f3d) and STEP formats so you can easily modify and remix.
I also included a test plate, in case you want to try the strip before you print a vase.
