F-Puzzle Geocaching Edition

I really like geometric challenges like these. And I like Geocaching, too. As I have been encountering more and more geocaches challenging you to visit a website solving a jigsaw puzzle in order the coordinates to be presented I thought about a counterpart to solving puzzles at home for hours and hours and have stumbled across thing no. 1666559 a couple of months ago.

As we all know when this puzzle is solved, eight squares will not be populated by an part of the four F’s, so I thought this might be a nice idea to challenge the fellow geocachers to solve the puzzle and then finally read the last four digits from the visible parts of the mask.

All elements have been designed in OpenSCAD in order to easily adjust the font to your liking and the respective final coordinates to your needs. Well maybe you should overthink my mechanism of placing 4+4 8x3 mm neodym magnets which are a bit of an overkill.

The upper part comes in two flavors one of which holding the four puzzle pieces in place.

From the first 36 hours of this geocache being online (GC9GMX7) I can say this one has already been a huge success with everyone being quite excited.
