The Coral is Thinking

Inspired by the Coral website design ideology, this model features the coral logo at the top and glasses to represent the thinker part. The model can be stood vertically or flat. When standing it vertically, you will need right-angle cables to reach the ports. The port holes openings provide plenty of clearance for cables and connectors.

Plenty of room is given by the ports so any port size works just fine

Required parts

Required hardware (For Case):

• M3x25 Socket Head Screw (4 screws)

• M3x4 Heat set inserts (4 heat set inserts)

Required printed parts:

The main parts should be printed in PETG or ABS; PLA is not suitable. The feet are designed to be printed in TPU, though other materials can be used.

• Lid.stl - x1 (If you want extra features, you can print out the glasses part in a different color with a multi toolhead system as it is slightly recessed by 0.2mm

• Case.stl - x1

• Upright Stand.stl - x1

• TPU Foot.stl - x4

• Print with Normal Supports in the orientation shown:

• Print without supports in orientation as shown (if you are having issues, try normal supports) :

Assembly

Step 1: Install Heat-set inserts

• Install 4 Heat set inserts into the marked locations

Step 2: Install the Coral Board

• Install the Coral Board, do not screw it in with anything yet. Ensure the holes line up with the case's holes

Step 3: Install the lid

• Install the lid to be on top of the Coral Board. Ensure you can still see the threads in the heat set inserts

Step 4: Install the M3x25 screws

• Ensure you are screwing into the heat set inserts through the board. Be careful, as the board has a bit of wiggle room

Step 5 (Optional): Install the Upright Stand

• Connect all cables and install the case onto the Upright stand. Ensure the Horizontal stand is facing the correct way (Where the ports can get out through the back).
