I needed a mask for a masquerade, and ended up with this. The original geometry is AI generated from a photo of a similar mask using Tripo, for full transparency, followed by some minor manual editing. Mine is printed in black PETG and subsequently covered in "leaf gold" and "leaf silver", followed by a sealer, then a wash, and another coat of sealer and gloss varnish which gave a very nice result.
There's no good print orientation for the wings, but the way shown in the picture with a brim and supports are the best way I found. It did take a bit of sanding to get it smooth enough to cover in leaf silver, but it came out quite well. The wings unfortunately can't be printed flat beacause it ruins the detail in the feathers.
Face mask prints nicely with the bottom edge against the bed.
Wings will have to be glued on as well. There is a small recess in the wings for the bump on the face mask to sit in.
Mine is printed in 0.16mm layer height. Straps will have to be glued on, alternatively you can drill/melt holes at the back of the face piece for it, or use the strap adapter and some good strong glue to attach it to the mask.
