My wife likes to burn candles.
My wife likes to make candles.
I like to try and help my wife with things she likes.
My wife asked me if I could design something that would help to make the process of wicking her candles easier and more efficient then the Popsicle sticks and clothes pins method she was using to position and hold the wicks while pouring the wax. Some measurements and some iteration later I presented her with this print.
The ring is designed to fit over the top of a 100mm glass candle jar, commonly used by Huntington Home and Bath and Body works in their retail candles, and provides 3 locations to place and secure wicks located on a set radius from the center and an additional center location in the event a single wick candle was being made.
The holes for the wicks are slightly oversized to allow slightly frayed and unraveled wick ends to pass through and each hole has built in wick retention via tapered channels off-shooting from the holes.
Designed to be printed upside down and needing no supports.
No special print settings or media required.
This design is specifically created with 100mm to 102mm candle jars in mind as these are what my wife uses. If there is desire for a different size please reach out to me and we will see what can be done.
